How to reload/restore deleted bug

Using Deskzilla 2.1 build 5508.128 (paid commercial version).

Our Bugzilla database currently has 848 bugs. During an update from the server, my Deskzilla installation encountered an error on bug #830. I tried every way I could think of to clear the error and finally used Tools->Remove Invalid Bug to delete it from the local database, expecting that I could restore it from the server.

I tried Bug->Reload All Details, Connection->Get Changes Now and Connection->Reload Bugzilla Configuration and I can not get the bug back... my list of "All Bugs" goes from 829 to 831 and no 830.

I have verified that bug 830 is still there in the database, and others on the project report that it is present in their local Deskzilla databases.

How can I get it back, short of something really drastic like blowing away the whole local database and starting over?

Is Deskzilla supposed to filter out users who have "disable text"?

We use "disable text" to "delete" users without actually deleting them (that preserves all of their previous work without any referential integrity problem). However, once a user is "disabled", we obviously don't want that user to be selectable in any of the Deskzilla drop-downs (Bugzilla already does this itself for users "deleted" in this way).

Is this expected behavior (to have disabled users still be able to use Deskzilla to modify and enter bugs?)

Thanks!

Jon Rosen

Bug history - PLEASE!

Hi,

I regularly need to see the history of a bug. By this I do not mean the comment history (that's just fine in Deskzilla) but the status/assignment/etc change history. The regular Bugzilla client has this in the form of the "history" button next to the Modified date in a bug list.

I have not been able to figure out if there IS a way to do this in Deskzilla, but if there isn't, there really should be. Otherwise, the utility of Deskzilla (which I just paid for ) is going to be highly questionable as I will have to go back and forth between the regular interface and Deskzilla on a constant basis.

Hoping there is a simple answer for this (like I have overlooked a button or command or something...)

Thanks,

Jon Rosen

Does exist a "Last Comment" filter or a similar workaround?

Hi!
We want to use Deskzilla in order to create our Project Changelogs.
For this purpose i have set several filters in order to find the "Bugs marked as Fixed in a Period of time" so we can find easily the Fixed Bugs between 0.3 and 0.4 release.
I did it with the following Queries:
*Filter 1: Resolution in {FIXED}
AND
*Filter 2: Last Modified (From absolute: 0.3-RELEASE-DATE to: TODAY)

The second filter helps me to avoid bugs FIXED for 0.2 or olders.

THE PROBLEM.

The problem is that "any changes" (ie: "Priority" level) made in any Bugzilla report during 0.3 and 0.4 will mark it as "Last Modified" and (ie) a Fixed bug in 1995 will appear in the results (which it is not desired)

When we fix a Bug usually we write the same day (or several days later) a Comment saying "Fixed in revision 345679" (or similar) so just tracking when the "Last Comment" was made will give us a much better filter. ( the filter will ignore Bugreports which its "Last Comment" was made in 1995)

So, my question is:
Is there any "Last Comment" filter ? Or any other workaround to help us?

Thanks in advance

Bugzilla Flags -- User Survey

Dear Bugzilla Users,

We have recently started developing support for flags in Deskzilla. Flags are a very versatile feature, so we are trying to understand how companies use them, in order to build a good solution and user interface. I would be very grateful if you could answer a few questions about how you use flags in your company or team. Or if you could just describe in few words, how do you use flags, what are the use cases, that would be terrific too.

Feel free to add replies to this post with your thoughts and answers.

Do you use flags/requests primarily on bugs, on attachments or on both? Do you use flags on attachments at all?

How many flag types do you have (roughly)?

What is the most frequently used flag type? Could you describe what the flag means, and the related workflow? (When it's set to "+", "-", or "?")

Can multiple flags of a certain type be set on the same bug in your Bugzilla? (Multiplicable flags) If yes, what is the case, why do you set a second flag of the same type on a bug?

Is there any functionality regarding flags that is important for use in your company and is missing in Bugzilla?

If you can think of any specific cases or requirements that might be important in your company, please mention that.

Thanks for your time!
-- Igor

Recently changed bugs in bold? (until changes are viewed).

Is there a way to have "recently changed" bugs in bold, until they are reviewed (where they change to non-bold).

i.e. basically the same functionality as email, where you can see what changes you have reviewed.

Usage:
* I work in SQA, and am getting a lot of bugzilla emails, often many per day for the same bug (status changed, attachment added, a field changed, etc.).
* For many of the bugs I don't need an update instantly (once / twice per day is enough).
* Ideally I would like to be able to use deskzilla to see what bugs have changed (since I last looked at them), and then review the recent changes.

I see the "updated today" view, which looks like it is pretty close (except I can't easily keep track of which ones I have / have not reviewed).

Any other options to get this info?

Thanks,
Eric
