I was trying to create a query that would show me all bugs blocked by bug X, but in the create query wizard I'm not seeing the Blocks field in the list. What am I missing?

Thanks
Charles

Charles, we don't have yet Blocks/Depends in the query builder - sorry! If you need to see all bugs blocked by a single bug X, you can open bug X and in the details view click on the "magnifying glass" icon near the "blocks" field.

For looking at bugs dependent from several other bugs, there are a couple of related feature requests in our tracker - feel free to vote for http://jira.almworks.com/browse/PLO-717 and http://jira.almworks.com/browse/DZO-845

Thanks!
Igor

Unfortunately this often doesn't work if you have a lot of bugs blocking your chosen one, instead you just get a subset and an error message "Cannot run query (Server HTTP response [414 Request-URI Too Large])
Even if you can return all the blocking bugs you can't add the nice "create distribution" sub-filters as you can with a regular query. I voted for http://jira.almworks.com/browse/DZO-845 which I think is the intuitive fix.
If there is anything I can do to help move that along, let me know.

Thanks

Oh BTW I now have a support contract, will that help in getting DZO-845 added any faster :-)

Cheers

Hello Charles,

Thanks for purchasing a license - that helps DZO-845 a little, but not in a quantifiable way :) This feature depends on a few architectural changes, which we plan to implement - but it's not done fast, sorry.

On a side note, you can try running a query that would show all possible bugs you are working with, then you can use Hierarchy drop down to select blocks/depends hierarchy, and then find the bug you're interested in with in-table search (Ctrl+Shift+F)

Hope that helps a bit!
Igor
