Full Version: Drag and Drop reordering by field isnt working

We used greenhopper and consider this feature essential.

The problem is that we haven't been able to get it to work properly with the desktop client.

We use the Rank field, and click on the icon to Reorder by Field. We then drag a task and drop it where we want it on the list and click upload. In the main task view we now see the new item in the right place and the updating icon animating. When it is done animating, the task jumps right back to where it originally was - the reordering doesn't "stick"

Any thoughts?

Looks like the JIRA server is denying it.

Also, can you update this issue at all? For example, change Summary?

Yes, I was able to change the summary. Looking back, i'm not sure my screen shot applies directly to my problem. I noticed the timestamp on teh issue says 10:15a but I have been unable to do this all day.

Thanks for the info. One of the possible reasons is that Greenhopper's ranking field is not on the Default issue screen (or whichever screen is used by Edit Issue action). If you have Administrator rights on your JIRA, please check the Screen/Custom Field Configurations and try to add Ranking to the default screen. If you're not admin, you can verify that Ranking is not on the Edit Screen by editing any issue and looking for ranking field.

Please let me know if Ranking field is on the Edit Issue screen, but updating Rank doesn't work anyway.

The Rank field appears on the default screen, I have confirmed this. Updating the Rank doesn't work. It works in Greenhopper, but not when using the desktop client.
