It would be nice to be able to render HTML text in the text fields specifically the description instead of seeing everything in plain text.

If this is already there please let me know how to set it up.

The related issue for wiki rendering is http://jira.almworks.com/browse/JCO-663 - please watch / vote for it to stay updated on the progress.

But it's about wiki rendering, not HTML rendering - do you really use HTML text in fields on JIRA? Do you know if you're using any plugin that provides HTML rendering (it's not part of the standard JIRA functionality)?

I was actually talking about HTML rendering. We use the tinymce-renderer-plugin-1.2 for the description field.
