Hi,
I am able to get JIRA Client working with Apache OpenJPA (http://issues.apache.org/jira, narrowed to the 'OpenJPA' project). However, if I use my credentials (username=pcl), JIRA Client fails to synchronize. I am able to successfully test the connection with my credentials within the Connection Manager, but when JIRA Client tries to initialize the connection, it fails.
Any idea how to debug / resolve this?
Thanks,
-Patrick

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for posting this problem. Please do the following:
1. Restart JIRA Client with debug logging turned on. It's done with debug.sh or debug.bat script in "bin" subdirectory under JIRA Client install dir.
2. Reproduce the problem.
3. Stop JIRA Client, and go to the logs directory. On Windows default directory is C:\Documents and Settings\username\.JIRAClient\log. (Mind the dot before JIRAClient)
4. Zip all files in this directory, including sub-directories and send the archive to support@almworks.com. (Your password is removed from logs.)
Then we'll have enough information to diagnose the problem.
I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for the cooperation.
Best regards,
Igor

The problem seems to be related to redirects from http: to https: urls.
For all Apache JIRA users: please use
https://issues.apache.org/jira url for connection in JIRA Client.
Cheers,
Igor

Patrick,
We have just released version 1.0.1, which fixes this problem. You can switch to "http://" url now (nb: if you change URL of a connection in JIRA Client, it will have to re-download queries).
Best regards,
Igor
