I have installed latest JIRA and JIRA Client on my test Windows 7 64-bit computer. All works fine except that time tracking menu is disabled:



What steps i need to perform in order for this menu to be enabled and to use time tracking? It's one of the main features i need to evaluate

Have you enabled time tracking in JIRA? If not, see Administration | Time Tracking tab; after enabling, use menu Connection | Reload Configuration from JIRA in JIRA Client.

I have enabled it right now, reindexed and restarted JIRA server, restarted JIRA Client issued 'Reload JIRA configuraton'. But, unfortunately, menu is still disabled . Maybe it's some relevant log messages i can check?

Maybe it's some permissions problem? I have never used a time tracking within JIRA before, it's unusable with web interface. I can login to JIRA via web browser under same user as JIRA client and can use 'log work' functionality without any problems.

I have found a problem. If i manually select 'start progress' from issue context menu, JIRA Client will completely disable time tracking. Maybe it will be useful for some status line hint or leave 'stop work' enabled?

What's your JIRA version?

Please select the issue in query result (say, the one you've logged work on), and Right-Click. Do you see "Work on Issue" menu? If not, click on "Download", and when it's finished, try again.

"Work on Issue" is also duplicated in Time Tracking menu, issue toolbar and a shortcut (Ctrl+G).
